Does my class or team need an app?
No. They open your link in any browser — phone or computer. Only the payload runs the Android app to broadcast its location.
Does it work at high altitude?
There's no mobile coverage in the stratosphere, so the phone can't report while it's up there. It sends its position whenever it has a signal — on the way up, and crucially as it descends back into coverage, which is exactly when you need a fix to recover the payload. Positions it records while out of range are kept on the phone and sent once it's back. To keep and replay the whole flight afterwards, add Track Loading (Premium). Live sharing is free.
Can the whole recovery team follow along?
Yes. Everyone with your link sees the payload on the map whenever it's reporting — so you can converge on the landing spot together.
