Website embedding

Put your live map on any website.

A single iframe turns any page into a live tracking map — travel blogs, sailing expeditions, races, events. Copy, paste, done. Your visitors watch the journey unfold, live, without ever leaving your site.

Unlock the Website Framing permission in the app, then paste one iframe. No account needed to view.

How it works

Three steps to a live map on your page.

No plugin, no build step. If you can paste HTML, you can embed a live map.

  1. Unlock framing

Buy the Website Framing permission once in the app — side menu → Premium → Website Framing.

  2. Add the iframe

Paste the snippet on your site and put your username in the URL (live.greenalp.com/you).

  3. It goes live

Your live map appears right away. Tweak the view with URL parameters — map type, zoom, time range.

Made for

Perfect when the journey is the story.

Also popular with bikepackers, field teams, and live TV/radio broadcasts.

The code

One snippet. Copy, paste, live.

Set the size with width / height, and switch the view or zoom with a URL parameter.

<iframe src="https://live.greenalp.com/demouser?frame=1"
  width="640" height="480"></iframe>

// replace "demouser" with your username
// optional: ?zoom=14 — plus map style & time range

Two kinds of link

Quick and flexible, or saved and clean.

Tune a link on the fly, or configure one once and hand out a tidy URL.

Yours to shape

Fits your site, not the other way around.

Good to know

Embedding questions, answered.

Do my visitors need an app or account?

No. The embedded map runs in any browser. Only you, broadcasting your location, need the Android app.

How do I turn embedding on?

Buy the Website Framing permission once in the app: side menu, Premium, Website Framing. Then paste the iframe with your username, or use a saved custom link.

Is it free?

Website Framing is a one-time Premium permission. Viewing an embedded map is always free for your visitors.

Can I change the map, zoom or size?

Yes. Use width and height for size and zoom for the level. Any basemap works — the free ones always, and Google Maps when credits are available and the owner allows it.

Will it slow my site down?

No, it is a lightweight iframe. Add loading=lazy so your page renders first and the map streams in.
