I have used RTT for about 7 years now. For some reason, it has been going to sleep whenever the truck is at a customers house for a certain amount of time
Does anyone know why its doing this? I have remembered (i think) the same settings for years. I get a new phone, same process is done etc... The weird thing is that it did not do this when I first installed RTT on the trucks Android tablet. It started doing it all of a sudden about a month ago.
Is there some setting that I am missing? Please help, its been a big pain (for what we do).
Why does the Tracker that i have on my work truck sleep?

Re: Why does the Tracker that i have on my work truck sleep?
Hi,
That's a know problem of newer Android devices. It is called "doze mode". Google has introduced it to save battery. Have you tried to keep the tracked phone in the the track connected to a charger? Doze mode should be disabled while the phone is charging.

I see. Thank you for your response.
I have told my employees to always keep it connected, like 20x by now. They all seem to forget. I would hate to threaten to fire them over this issue, but sometimes I consider it. It is very important.
I was hoping some setting out fix this, but if its an android issue, I will look into it.

You really shouldn't consider to fire them because it still is possible that there is a problem with the phone or just no GPS signal. Have you tested if it works if the phone is connected to a charger so it doesn't need battery?
