Keeping Tracker connected

The friend's Tracker was enabled and on. All settings were unchanged from prior trackings that worked. But the current tracking remained at the starting point in spite of the fact the friend took a route. During that trip, their navigation ap was used successfully. Could this ap have interfered with Tracker? Also, an attempt was made twice to do a remote start, forced stop, and all it did was poll the server with no return (>5 minutes). What have I missed

Thanks for your message. Another navigation app on the phone should be no problem. I don't know why the tracking did not work. Seems as if the friend's tracker was not running or had no working data connection. What's your friend's username? Maybe I can find out if there was a problem with login.
