Time filter when hiding locations on Google Maps

Hi, I'm wondering how the slider in Options->Additional Options->"Hide locations older than (hours):" works.I've purchased the track loading feature but it doesn't appear to be working fully.

I set this to say 24 hours and I'm seeing all of my older trips. I can't see any difference in the tracks that I've made. I've got an example below where I've set it to 3 hours and should filter/hide almost everything:

Hi,
This feature is for something different. It either hides a user completely (if the last update is long enough ago), or it shows everything (if the update was recently).
